Nintendo has only released two games, those being: Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes (both being two of my favorite iOS games). They’ve also released a few apps through last year and this year. Nintendo had announced another one of their big game franchises will make it’s way over to iOS and Android very shortly. Little would know, a few months later Nintendo had a live stream via YouTube which was just for their new game ‘Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’. Pocket Camp allows players to take a new way to play Animal Crossing with them on the go. It’s another one of Nintendo’s “Portrait Mode” games, but from what I’ve seen it doesn’t disappoint. It’s obviously not the “Animal Crossing” on the Wii, 3DS, but it is another way to experience Animal Crossing on the go.
Yesterday, Nintendo released a tweet saying “Have you heard the news? Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be coming to mobile devices worldwide on 11/22!” Which is interesting that they would release the game worldwide in the middle of the week and release it a day before a major U.S holiday. I’m not complaining though. I’m very excited to see where this game goes and hope it’s another success for Nintendo on iOS and Android. Let’s all just hope it’s not another Miitomo. I should also note that the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be free on iOS and Android and it will feature in-app purchases. Mark, your calendars and hide your wallets!
