High Sierra is Gonna make your Mac Fast!

During Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference they showed off the new macOS “High Sierra” and with the new macOS, there are two huge things launching with-in it. Those two “huge” things are Metal 2 and Apple’s file system. Both of those can speed up your Mac in two ways. The first way is loading files and the second way is the usage of the system’s graphics. For an example copying files over to another location on your mac is basically instant instead of waiting multiple minutes for it to copy over like previous Mac versions. It’s like iOS, whenever you update to iOS 10.3 you noticed a large speed bump, that was due to the Apple integrating their new file system. You should see this same type of improvement with the new macOS High Sierra update. Metal 2 on the other hand is Apple’s graphics API which let developers get closer to the hardware than OpenGL. Apple announced that Metal 2 will be responsible for all the graphics in macOS High Sierra. Which Metal should make system animations and even playing games or editing videos a whole lot faster and smoother. (with supported apps that use Metal 2)
