Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is an open world action-adventure video game and its also App of the Week! GTA: LCS just came out a few days ago. I bought the game as soon as it came out. I never really liked any of the Grand Theft Autos on the phone until Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I knew Liberty City Stories was based off GTA III, that wasn’t a huge problem, I just wanted the gameplay to feel different, like its a different Grand Theft Auto. Liberty City Stories did deliver that and more.
I found my self playing hours of Liberty City Stories because, the gameplay felt different. It also didn’t feel like you’re playing as a typical gangster that just got out of jail and you’re causing even more problems in the city. In a matter of a fact it felt the opposite then that. It felt like you’re a guy just causing problem and mother is there making even more trouble for you. I really love the story of this game so far.
Let’s talk about the price. The price of this game is $6.99 which is a lot for a game. Most games are any where form $0.99 to $2.99. So for Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories being this price it better be good! It’s definitely a good game, but the requirements to play this game at 60FPS are CRAZY! You need to have at least a iPhone 6s or an iPad Pro. Nothing else on the market will deliver 60FPS. Which seems kinda weird but besides that fact, an iPhone 6 Plus will play the game at about 40FPS but, it will drop frame a LOT! I’ve seen a bunch of frames drop just from driving around “slowly.” If you want to play this game at a good FPS, I would say and device from 2 years and newer can play this game.
Currently, GTA: LCS is only for iOS. Rockstar Games did indeed say that they are working on a port for Android and Windows. I would say with-in early next year (2016) you’ll probably see ports for both of those operating systems.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves the Grand Theft Auto series or people who love open world games. It’s a super fun game but it will require a super beefy device to play.
